The dog in the picture is named Hachiko. In 1923, a Japanese citizen named Isabura discovered Hachiko as a small puppy inside a box in one of the train cars he took daily to work. He took the puppy home and raised it. As time passed, Hachiko grew, and a strong bond formed between them. Every day, Isabura commuted to work by train, and Hachiko would accompany him to the station and wait there patiently until his return, about 10 hours later.

Tragically, in 1925, Isabura suffered a fatal heart attack at work and never returned home. Despite this, Hachiko continued to wait for his beloved owner at the station platform for a decade, until his own death.

In honor of Hachiko's unwavering loyalty, a statue was erected at the entrance to Shibuya Station in Japan, where it still stands today. 

Loyalty is a virtue heavier than mountains and longer than ropes. It encompasses numerous profound meanings: sacrifice, sincerity, devotion, and unwavering commitment. ❤️
